About us
practice
Our practice focuses on providing platforms for self organisation, enabling localities to act in their interest. Pursue projects that are informed by everyday needs, promote ideas that come out of urban situations those localities are at.
Our aim is to bridge large regeneration projects with smaller and marginal local groups in urban environment. Proposals articulated by our practice consists of providing technical, logistical, and theoretical help to those initiatives that trying to alter urban projects that are aimed to solve challenges at larger - municipal, regional or national scales. Working closely with local communities we enable their voices to be heard and articulated in order to large investment schemes to be more beneficial for them.
Our practice focuses on particular situations that exist in urban fabric through investigating histories, changes in time, resident localities. Following these we formulate proposals and critiques that are trying to rethink prevailing planning and architectural strategies, this way finding solutions that are more sustainable.
JJAZ portal functions as archive of practices, ideas and utopias, virtual tool box that gathers knowledge concerning practical solutions to issues that arise in an urban setting.

i think our practice should concentrate around creating temporary structures that help to establish the links between different communities, those seperated by language, class, military. in order to revitalize them. so it may be movable museums, concert halls, schools, hospitals, circus, and so on. temporary structures?
